Introducing A Gentle Yuletide Evening my new cross stitch design in preparation for and in celebration of Yule.  

I loved creating this piece, and all the while I was imaging what it might be like sitting inside the cosy little cabin while the world outside is whisper-quiet in the snow.  What would you imagine the inside is like while you stitch?  Please tell me in the comments below. 

I didn’t have plans to add a reindeer but he just appeared and I’m very happy about that because he’s so adorable.

December 2023 is here

This time of year can be difficult for some and certainly for me this year it will be one of some emotional rememberances because it is the first December since my Mum's passing which is also her birthday month (and mine too). 

Be gentle and kind with yourself at this time of year.  Allow the little moments of magic and warmth to lift your spirits where it can.

Christmas in Summer Cross Stitch New Release

Hello friends.

 

I thought I’d pop in today with a little update. Thank you so much for all the lovely messages I’ve received after the passing of my Mum a few weeks ago.  I’m doing okay, taking one day at a time, and keeping busy with gardening, stitching and creating some new things.

 

I’m excited to introduce my latest cross stitch design called 'Christmas in Summer' which is specially created for stitchers in the Southern Hemisphere for their Christmas stitching and decorating.  It’s also perfect for anyone spending their December holidays in a summer location.

A Festive Welcome - Free Cross Stitch Chart

 

 

 

I have a love for fancy and unusual doorways and can often been seen taking photographs of them on my travels around the countryside.  As a result i've had this little design idea floating around in my mind for months and this weekend I finally got to settle down and put it into a chart for you.  I'm so delighted with how this festive bauble design turned out and hope you enjoy stitching it for your seasonal decorating.  You'll find it ready for download over on my website www.weediflowercreations.com

The model is shown as stitched on white 14 count Aida,  43x44 Stitches, (7.8 x 8.0 cm) (3.1 x 3.1 inches).  If stitching on 16 count Aida the measurements are 43x44 Stitches (6.8 x 7.0 cm) (2.7 x 2.8 inches).

Felt Yule or Christmas Tree

 

Snowflake Crochet Motif

I had such fun working on this Snowflake pattern this week and I hope you have lots of fun making them too.  I'm looking forward to making a whole blizzard of them each night while I watch television to decorate the house and tree with this winter - which might also help me to stop nibbling on mince pies quite so much.

Here's a cheerful little fellow for a moment of stitching with a mug of coffee or tea.  He is a making his appearance a bit early but I couldn't resist and I know some of you out there may already be working on your festive projects.  Enjoy x

Felt Gingerbread House

Ta dah!  Here it is and i'm really pleased with it and hope you enjoy making lots of them in all sorts of colours and themes.

I have called it a Gingerbread House but really you can make it into a Beach Hut or Country Cottage - whatever takes your fancy.
