Springtime sampler is a lovely counted cross stitch sampler perfect for your Spring and Easter decorating. The bees, tulips, blossoms, birds, sweet pink rabbit and bluebells capture the essence of the season in lovely fresh spring colours. Springtime is an original design by Karen Wiederhold designing as Weediflower Creations. The chart-pack is delivered to you as an instant download PDF direct from Etsy for you to print on payment.

The chart pack contains the colour key with symbols for the threads required to stitch the sampler as well as A4 sized chart pages in colour and black and white.

Silent Night Barn Owl Stitchalong

What do you do with your Orts?

To close the year I like to empty the little jar where I collect all the thread remnants (Orts) from stitching and hand-quilting worked on in 2023. 

It’s such fun to hold it in my hand and see a visual history of the projects intertwined. The threads are stored in a ziplock bag to use later on as filling for small ornaments.

Introducing A Gentle Yuletide Evening my new cross stitch design in preparation for and in celebration of Yule.  

I loved creating this piece, and all the while I was imaging what it might be like sitting inside the cosy little cabin while the world outside is whisper-quiet in the snow.  What would you imagine the inside is like while you stitch?  Please tell me in the comments below. 

I didn’t have plans to add a reindeer but he just appeared and I’m very happy about that because he’s so adorable.

Summer Haven Cross Stitch Design New Release

 

Introducing my new cross stitch design called Summer Haven.

Forget Me Not Biscornu Cross Stitch Design

Introducing my latest cross stitch design called 'Forget Me Not Biscornu', which was inspired by the sweet blue flowers which grow in our garden each year. This design will be lovely finished as a small puff cushion/pillow instead of a biscornu if you prefer.

Design measurements are:

Guinea Fowl Cross Stitch Design

 

I'm delighted to introduce my newest cross stitch design called  'Guinea Fowl', which is my third design for 2023.  I've had so much fun bringing this piece to life. Cold Hands Warm Heart Cross Stitch Redwork Band Sampler

With Winter still with us here in the Northern Hemisphere,  I'm delighted to introduce my newest cross stitch design called 'Cold Hands Warm Heart' which is a band sampler stitched in red thread upon a white background.  

It was inspired by a recent visit from my very special and long-time friend Jen to see us just before Christmas.  

I've dedicated this piece to her which reads as follows "Dedicated to Jen in memory of her trip to the UK in December 2022 to visit us.  Lovely memories of chilly days, yummy food, sparkly lights, lots of laughter, cosy times, snowy scenes, wooly warmers (and who can forget that special warm-itself-up jacket)".

A Festive Welcome - Free Cross Stitch Chart

 

 

 

I have a love for fancy and unusual doorways and can often been seen taking photographs of them on my travels around the countryside.  As a result i've had this little design idea floating around in my mind for months and this weekend I finally got to settle down and put it into a chart for you.  I'm so delighted with how this festive bauble design turned out and hope you enjoy stitching it for your seasonal decorating.  You'll find it ready for download over on my website www.weediflowercreations.com

The model is shown as stitched on white 14 count Aida,  43x44 Stitches, (7.8 x 8.0 cm) (3.1 x 3.1 inches).  If stitching on 16 count Aida the measurements are 43x44 Stitches (6.8 x 7.0 cm) (2.7 x 2.8 inches).

Mystical Moments Sampler Release

The Mystical Moments Mystery Stitch Along (SAL) has now come to an end.

The complete chart pack containing all nine parts of the Mystical Moments Sampler (which were released from October 2021 to mid October 2022) is now available to purchase and download in my Etsy shop.

Part one of the sampler is called Moon Cat, which was released in October 2021 as a Freebie, is available to download on its own as a stand-alone mini project here.  This chart will remain as a free chart in my collection.

The cost of the Mystical Moments chart pack is £9 (does not include the Etsy additions for tax etc depending on country of purchase at checkout).  This price is calculated based on the prices charged for parts 2 to 9 when sold individually for the stitch-along aspect of the design process between October 2021 and mid October 2022.

The Mystical Moments Sampler measures 

14 ct 114x113 Stitches (20.7 x 20.5 cm) (8.1 x 8.1 in.)
16 ct 114x113 Stitches (18.1 x 17.9 cm) (7.1 x 7.1 in.)
18 ct 114x113 Stitches (16.1 x 15.9 cm) (6.3 x 6.3 in.) 

​I recommend Navy or Black fabric for the sampler. 

​Parts 1 to 4 are full coverage (corners).  Parts 5 to 9 are not full coverage.

There are 28 colours of thread used in this design. 

​Each of the nine parts of this sampler make perfect stand-alone mini projects to finish as ornaments or small pillows.

Please note:  I had originally planned to have a decorative border which would have been released as Part 10, however on completion of the sampler I discovered it was much more pleasing without it.
