Sunset Swim Complimentary Cross Stitch Chart (Revisited)

Good morning,

I'm just popping in on the blog to very quickly to let you know about the revised version of 'Sunset Swim' which is a cross stitch piece I created in 2014 and which i've revised today.  This revised version is larger that the original but still falls in the category of a small stitched piece.

'Sunset Swim' is a complimentary chart for you to enjoy for your summer, seaside or wonders of nature decorating and displays.  The chart pack also includes a Pattern Keeper friendly chart option and is available on my website.

May 2023 News

Hello friends,

Here we are in May and what a gorgeous month it tends to be here in the UK.  Spring is in full swing and i'm enjoying the longer days, which allows me more time for stitching in the evening after dinner accompanied by the song of the blackbird who lives in our garden.

​Last month I was delighted to introduce my newest cross stitch design called 'Memory' in my series Echoes of South Africa. This piece is egg-shaped as a nod to the season and festivities in April and  shows a sunset with elephant in earthy colours.  I also included a bonus chart to stitch the piece as an oval shape if preferred.

In March I celebrated reaching 500 subscribers on my YouTube channel and as promised announced two winners in April's episode to select a chart of their choice from my shop.  Both chose 'Memory' and i'm looking forward to seeing their completed pieces in the future.  If you've not yet visited my channel I'd love it if you would come over and  join us. 

Of course I can't sign off without mentioning the Coronation which took place this weekend.  To commemorate the occasion I created a free chart which is available for instant download in my Freebies section.  It's been so lovely and joyful to see them popping up on people's social media photos and videos so beautifully stitched.  I am honoured that you invest your time in stitching my creations.

In commemoration of the Coronation of HM King Charles III, New Cross Stitch Release

My gift to you in commemoration of the Coronation of HM King Charles III  

 

I've had so much fun creating it this morning. The charts for both versions of the design are available for you to download as a PDF from my website www.weediflowercreations.com/free

The larger design is 79 x 65 Stitches and the smaller design is 79 x 47 Stitches. These are perfect for small stitchy projects such as decorative mini pillows, pincushions or ornaments depending on the count of fabric you choose to stitch on.

A new pair of socks off the needles.

A new pair of socks just off the needles.  I’m still a beginner sock-knitter but pleased to say that with every pair it’s getting easier and more relaxing to do 😊 

These were knitted using 2.5mm Knitpro Zing needles by @knitproeu and the yarn is Funny Feetz by @jamescbrett in the colour FZB14 (wool and bamboo blend). It was a joy to knit with and I’m very pleased with the results.

African Egg 'Memory' Cross Stitch Chart - New Release

As I write this we are on the last day of March here in the UK but as it's already the early morning of April where family are in New Zealand, i'm using that as my excuse to update my website ahead of time.  The reason for this excitement about being early is I have a new design which I absolutely have to share and can't wait a minute longer to do. (I've been holding back since Wednesday with great difficulty because i'd planned to only release this design on 1April).

 

I'm delighted to introduce my newest cross stitch design called African Egg 'Memory' in my series Echoes of South Africa which is dedicated to my amazing sister-in-law Brenda who loves Ellie's.

 

 

 

 

 

Last month I brought you 'Guinea Fowl' which was the first of my South African inspired designs.   

 

In case you're wondering ......while I live in the UK, I was born and raised in South Africa.
