Butternut Soup - Colourful energy in a bowl.
This weekend I made Butternut Soup; deciding to rely on a bit of kitchen witchery to come up with the recipe as I went along. Just look at that colour! A great colour to put into the body when you need an energetic boost. A great colour to inspire a crafty project maybe?
The finished product, which we ate for lunch, was yummy if I say so myself. I have written the recipe down now so I can make it again! I may even share it here.
So if you think I should share it, drop a comment below.

Colour of the Year
I noticed this happening a few years ago; first entering a year unaware, then sensing a colour dominating, acknowledging it, welcoming it, embracing it and allowing it to lead me through the year in its inspiration.
The colour seems to come in through gifts or an item i've gone out to buy (in let's say blue but they only have orange). So I bring it home and then notice that the gift I received is orange and that new top from the sale my friend found me is orange and so on.
The colour that seems to have introduced itself this time is Red and so saying farewell for now to last year's Orange.
One of the red items is a set of souffle dishes, my challenge to myself for this year is to make my first ever souffle. When I get to the day when I decide it's THE DAY then i'll post here in photos either the success or the failure - that will be something to look forward to. Let's see what other red inspired things come along this year.
