Free Crochet Pattern: A little romantic crochet

If you're in the mood for a little bit of romantic crochet then how about making some of these for a cushion,  from what has proven to be a favourite of my patterns amongst visitors.  The photo isn't great but it was taken with my old camera last year.

The heart shape is made up of clusters or bobbles.

Making Clusters/bobbles -   Yarn over hook, into space, hook yarn through, work first half of dc then keeping stitch on hook, make a further 6 half dc's, then yarn over hook and draw through all stitches held on hook  to create cluster/bobble.

Round 1
Ch6, join to form ring.

Round 2
Ch3,  11DC into ring, SS into top of Ch3.

Round 3
Ch3, DC2,Ch3, DC3 into same space, Ch2.  *Into space after next 3DC's work DC3,Ch3, DC3, Ch2*
( Work from * to * twice more). SS into first Ch3 to close  row.

Round 4
SS to space on corner then Ch3, DC2,Ch3, DC3 into same space, Ch2.  Cluster into next space, Ch2.  *Into space on next corner DC3,Ch3, DC3 into same  space, Ch2.  Cluster into next space, C
h2*.
( Work from * to * twice more).  SS into first Ch3 to close row.

Round 5 and 6
Work as for Round 4, working clusters in the spaces between the corners.
You will notice on round 5 there are two clusters and row 6 there are three.  SS into first Ch3 to close row.

Round 7
SS to space on corner then Ch3, DC3,Ch2, DC3 into same space, Ch2.  *Clusters into next two spaces,  Ch5, clusters into next two spaces, Ch2.  *DC3,Ch3, DC3 into same space, Ch2.
Clusters into next two spaces, Ch5, clusters into next two spaces, Ch2. ( Work from * to *  twice more).  SS into first Ch3 to close row.

Why not make the heart clusters in red and the rest of the granny in white yarn for great contrast.

Enjoy!!! x
